trial and error

Friends - it might be cheesy - but one of my New Year's Resolutions is to write more. Once upon a time - I used to do this often. Not sure how I feel about posting - but we'll give it a try.

Looking back - I should have known
It should have been clear
Even obvious
But... I know now - what I had decided not to see.

Selfish isn't even what I would say
unavailability isn't even the point
stripped down - just me and you it's clear
deleting you is best for everyone

Its not about hate... and it's certainly not about love
its about me knowing that I can care
And remembering that now
I have the strength to say no more

Once upon a time I would have continued to love
But as of tomorrow
You will be gone
And a new day starts

Common Sense

"common sense rules here...its just insane otherwise..."

What does this mean? Well, that's a great question. Take a stressful week. Add a Work Awards Banquet (known as the Prom). Add many many many many glasses of red wine. Add falling down in a dress. Then take out your phone and text your best friend...

Oops...

New Subway Ad

Is freaking hilarious. It's the one where the guy needs a receipt for burger town and asks if he can just photocopy his but - hilarious.

I wonder if Subway switched ad agencies - since they haven't had a good campaign in YEARS!

Easter - Really?

So, I was in CVS about 10 minutes ago and they have Peeps and Cadbury Eggs on display. Easter is March 23 this year..

Don't we have to wait for that Hallmark Holiday to pass (or at least get closer). I firmly believe that the Easter Bunny has to wait for Puxatony Phil to see or not see his shadow - before we are ready for this...

Where will I buy lip gloss if I have to ban CVS and Rite Aid?

More complaints from NYE

to say I was not happy with the "scene" at Cafe Napoleon (Metropolitan Lounge) would be a drastic understatement.

1) the party was far from free. In addition to every patron having to pay $40, in order to get service at the bar you needed to have a $20 in your hand..

2) They ran out of everything: Beer (all kinds); wine; sours mix; grenadine and basically lots of other stuff (Captain Morgan; mid level Vodka's)

3) One of the bartenders downstairs had NEVER tended bar before (or at least it didn't seem like it)...She had to ask about everything - like "how to do a pour count on a Captain and Diet"

4) There was no one running/busing tables. They repeatedly ran out of glasses (plastic and glass); wine glasses, etc - because no one was busing the tables and consoles they had out

5) the two bartenders had to keep leaving the bar to find alcohol, glasses etc.

6) they let about 100 people too many in very early - which in addition to taxing the already struggling bartenders, made it about 6000 degrees in there.

7) the two bartenders kept stopping to "chit chat" (even though there were well over 100 people waiting for drinks)

8) There were three options: Pay $40 cover and open bar tab; pay $80 and drink until midnight; and pay $100 for full open bar. NONE of the bar staff checked wristbands - so paying $100 and paying $40 made no difference.
